Smart SEO Rankings is a healthcare SEO agency that helps dental, aesthetic and medical clinics get found by more patients across Google, Google Maps and AI search.
We specialise in healthcare. It's where we do our best work and where we spend most of our time, though we do take on selected clients in other sectors. The focus is deliberate: a clinic doesn't search the way a shop or a software company does, and neither do its patients.
Why we exist
Most clinics are excellent at what they do and close to invisible online. The dentist three streets away with worse reviews gets the booking, simply because they show up first. That gap, between how good a clinic is and how easily a patient can find it, is the thing we close.
Patients don't find clinics the way they used to. They search on Google, they look in Maps for somewhere "near me," and more and more they ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity and take the single answer they're given. If your clinic isn't the one being shown, that patient is already booking somewhere else, and you never knew they were looking.
How we started
Smart SEO Rankings was founded in 2023 by Nik Kotecha. It began as straightforward SEO work, and a pattern showed up quickly: the healthcare clients saw the clearest results and cared the most about getting it right. There was more on the line than rankings. A patient finding the right clinic actually matters.
Around the same time, search itself started changing. AI tools stopped handing people a list of ten links and started giving one answer. That reframed the whole job. It was no longer enough to be on page one. You had to be the name that came up when someone asked. So we built the agency around that reality, and around the clinics it affects most.
